Previous Collaborations

“We had the honor and privilege of engaging Kiki as a speaker for a self-care workshop during the inaugural UC statewide labor summer graduation ceremony, held at UC Berkeley in the summer of 2023. The workshop addressed the crucial aspects of mitigating burnout in social justice spaces, finding a work-life balance, and enhancing overall self-care practices. It was not just a session but a transformative experience for immigrant and young worker UC students who attended.

Kiki's session stood out remarkably, drawing the largest audience across the event and garnering overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants. Kiki shared her journey with such openness and authenticity, providing practical tools and resources that resonated deeply with the attendees. She crafted a safe environment that encouraged students to open up, fostering interactive and engaging dialogue that empowered students to inform, share, and ask questions freely.

Kiki was well-prepared and delivered a powerful presentation. Her workshop is an essential experience for nonprofits, government entities, and the private sector alike, addressing the often overlooked aspects of self-care and well-being in professional spaces. We highly recommend utilizing Kiki's services. Thank you, Kiki!”

"Kiki's impact is grounded in a depth of experience, knowledge, and empowerment. In my time as a Program Manager for Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors, I have witnessed Kiki's growth into a true leader. As a collaborator, she serves as a keynote speaker, writer, and Peer Mentor for the Young Adult Workshop at Phoenix World Burn Congress. Her lead-by-example style is impactful one-on-one and on a large scale: through her words, presence, and lived experiences. I highly recommend Kiki for the way she weaves together her own poignant truths with concrete ways to take steps towards growth. Her voice resonates as a trauma survivor, a leader, and an inspiration."

“I met Huyen Kiki Vo at UC Berkeley a decade ago, and it was during my freshman orientation week that I first learned about her story of resilience as a first-gen and burn survivor.

Given the demonstrated mental health impacts of COVID-19, especially on low-income teenagers, Close the Gap Foundation prioritized having an accessible mental health resource for this year’s 30+ Fellow cohort. I immediately thought of Kiki - someone who has the empathy and lived experience to support our students and meet them where they’re at. Before I could ask, Kiki generously offered to provide her mental wellness services to our generously offered to provide her mental wellness services to our first-gen and low-income students this summer.

Since 2022, Kiki has been providing tremendous support to our Fellows with mental health and wellness workshops. Without a doubt, she is dedicated and passionate about helping others achieve their goals. I highly recommend her services to others!”

“Kiki was an exceptional speaker on our panel on Intergenerational Trauma, sharing her brave journey through trauma and grief to help guide our audience in their journeys of healing.

Her experience is an exceptional yet relatable story about finding empowerment through great difficulty and challenge. The lens she provides as a trauma survivor and a clinical trauma specialist delivers a comprehensive understanding of the topic.

Kiki’s message is gripping and inspirational and should be heard by all, especially those seeking hope in trying times.”
